My third book was the beginning of a whole new chapter in my publishing career — and in my life. It’s a memoir of my wife’s parapalegia, the accident that caused it, and how it changed everything. It’s also about drawing and how I discovered its ability to give me perspective and peace. It has been published in hardcover and paperback and even in Korean. It has also spawned all sorts of groups and evernts as people came to share my discoveries and applied them to their own lives. It’s a funny book — most people who buy a copy end up buying lots more to give to their friends. Fortunately, there are some left. Get yours here.
Your book has been an inspiration to find my own visual voice and instrumental in me showing it to others so that they may also use this technique to augment their lives and find meaning in their existence that is not obvious in the day to day being.
Thank you for this book x
Life-changing…in a very gentle, heart-warming and humor-filled way. Danny Gregory got me started with the almost-daily sketching right after I read this book. I’ve been doing it for almost two years, filled four sketchbooks and like Mr. G says, it does bring peace and perspective. Go grab your copy now! And some Kleenex…for the heart-warming bits.
I just bought this book and consumed it in one day. Your story, your art, your honesty are a huge inspiration to me. I can’t keep looking at your drawings. They are so raw and beautiful. Isn’t it amazing that we overlook so much beauty in our every day lives? You have given me a new set of eyes with which to look at me life and for that I am eternally grateful. You have a gift and I thank you for sharing it with the rest of us. One of my favorite quotes sort of sums it up: Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans. — Lennon
Thank you Mr. Gregory for reminding me to put my plans on hold now and again and see what’s around me.
